Who is this permanent makeup artist in Kingman?
My Credentials (a.k.a. Why You’re in Expert Hands)
Okay, I’ll admit it — I’m tooting my own horn … but when you’ve spent decades mastering your craft, you’ve earned the right to play a little jazz. In the world of permanent makeup, pretty brows and crisp lip lines are just the tip of the pigment pen. What really matters? Credentials. Training. Professional affiliations. The kind of stuff that says, “I know what I’m doing — even when things get tricky.”
Do credentials guarantee flawless results every time? Not necessarily. But when rare complications pop up (and they do), you’ll want someone who’s been around the pigment block a few times. That’s where I come in.
From Paintbrush to Pigment
My journey started in a plastic surgeon’s office, where I worked as a medical aesthetician and assistant. One day, my supervising physician — who’d seen my paintings — said, “You should learn permanent makeup. I’ll even pay for it.” (Twist my arm, right?) He needed someone to handle paramedical tattooing for breast reconstruction and scar camouflage. I said yes, took the training, and boom — it just clicked. I was hooked.
For years, I focused on paramedical tattooing before expanding into facial cosmetic work. Think of it as going from reconstructive Michelangelo to beauty-enhancing glam Bob Ross.
Training? Oh, Just a Few Decades’ Worth
- Trained and certified by my original mentor — a paramedical tattoo artist and RN
- Studied under Genie Schmidt (Spokane, WA) and Mary Arnold (Las Vegas, NV)
- Trained with Paradise Permanent Makeup, Nouveau Contour, and Softap
- Attended 50+ advanced workshops at AAM and SPCP conventions over 20 years
- Proud member of AAM, SPCP, and the Permanent Makeup Society since the early 2000s
- Licensed aesthetician and SNHD body art cardholder (because safety isn’t optional)
Public Safety Nerd? Guilty.
I created a CDC-compliant bloodborne pathogen and infection control certification program for Southern Nevada Health District licensees. It’s been used by PMU techs applying for or renewing their body art cards. The health department even gave it the thumbs up — and yes, I’m still blushing with pride.
Innovator, Educator, Advocate
In 2013, I developed a saline removal system for botched PMU that was published via PR Web. (Because sometimes, the best way to fix a bad tattoo is with a little salt and a lot of science.)
I also founded a Southern Nevada Health District–approved PMU academy in Las Vegas, where I’ve been mentoring artists for over 15 years. Our 6-month program covers everything from anatomy and skin typing to color theory and advanced techniques. No 2-day crash courses here — this is Clark County, not a weekend hobby club. If you’re tattooing faces, you’d better know your stuff. I said what I said.
Being me, I LOVE difficult cases. I like scar tissue, botched brows and difficult skin types. It isn't all about glam PMU! I love the clients others said no to. I absolutely love mature skin. My experience and training allows me to successfully provide services to most anyone. I can navigate difficult tasks and I thoroughly enjoy it.
Where You’ll Find Me
These days, I’m honored to be the go-to paramedical tattoo artist for some of Las Vegas’ top plastic surgeons. I still work in Vegas weekly, but I’ve also expanded to Kingman — and here’s why:
From Pigment to Pastures
In 2020, I bought acreage outside Kingman to build a sustainable farm. (Yes, I traded my city heels for muck boots — and I’ve never been happier.) I’m passionate about clean, organic food and regenerative agriculture. While I was busy building my homestead, I kept my PMU practice in Vegas… but Arizona kept calling me home.
I’m a native Arizonan, raised in Flagstaff. My roots run deep — my ancestors helped found the El Tule and St. Johns area. So in 2025, I finally brought my brand of high-integrity, high-skill permanent makeup to Kingman. And let me tell you — the welcome has been nothing short of heartwarming.
I wasn’t sure how I’d be received, but now I’m booking up so fast I’ve had to open more days. (Kingman, you sure know how to make a girl feel seen!)
So yes, I still commute to Vegas… but now I get to serve clients in Kingman too. And whether you’re here for paramedical tattooing or a little beauty boost, you’re in the hands of someone who’s done the work — and then some
